Two Nollywood Crew Members Found Dead on Set
Police have launched an investigation into the deaths of two Nollywood production crew members who were found lifeless inside a parked vehicle at a movie location in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
The victims were identified as Ekemini “GeeTee” Imeh, a lighting director and CEO of GeeTee Light, and Ayodeji Walter Odediran, a creative video director. The two were discovered on Saturday, February 7, 2026, after they had completed setting up lighting equipment for a film being shot at the site.
According to police sources, the men were seen resting inside a Nissan vehicle with the air-conditioning running while waiting for further production activities. A crew member reportedly delivered breakfast to them earlier in the day before they were found unresponsive later that evening.
The Lagos State Police Command has transferred the case to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba for further inquiry, including autopsy and toxicology examinations to determine the cause of death. Forensic experts are also reviewing CCTV footage and other evidence from the set.
Family members and colleagues have expressed shock and grief over the tragedy as investigators continue to examine all possible factors.
