KWAM 1’s Daughter Denies Dating Asake

Damilola Basirat Ayinde Marshall, daughter of Fuji music legend KWAM 1, has denied circulating rumours that she is romantically involved with Nigerian singer Asake after social media suggested a relationship between them.

The speculation began after Dami, a celebrity lawyer and Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism, Arts & Culture, posted a photo with Asake at a recent event captioned “Mr Money and Mrs Money,” a phrase many associate with the artiste’s public persona.

Addressing the rumours on her Instagram page, Dami explained that the image was taken during her first meeting with Asake and insisted there was no romantic relationship between them.

“Guys, that was my first time meeting him [Asake], so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs, they can do anything for traffic,” Miss Marshall wrote on her Instagram page.

Asake, known for keeping his personal life private, has not publicly confirmed any romantic involvement since past reported relationships.

Dami’s clarification aims to put to rest a wave of online gossip that trended after the photo and associated video circulated on social platforms.
