Davido, Chioma Arrive in Miami Ahead of White Wedding
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife, Chioma Rowland, have landed in Miami, United States, ahead of their highly anticipated white wedding ceremony.
The singer, who first hinted at the wedding plans in April, has kept the specific date under wraps. However, multiple sources suggest the ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, August 10.
In a video shared via Davido’s Instagram Story on Wednesday, the couple were seen boarding a private jet adorned with floral decorations and a chair labeled “MRS,” signaling bridal celebrations in motion. Davido also posted a photo from their destination, tagging Miami as the location.
Joining the celebration is Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle. His spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the governor’s trip on Tuesday amid inquiries raised by the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) regarding his whereabouts.
Davido and Chioma’s relationship has been a public journey of highs and lows. The couple got engaged in 2019, but experienced turbulence in 2021 amid rumors of infidelity. In October 2022, they suffered a devastating loss when their first son, Ifeanyi, tragically drowned in Lagos.
In a 2023 interview, Davido revealed they had legally married. The couple welcomed twins in the United States in October 2023 and later held their traditional wedding in Lagos in June 2024.
The wedding buzz intensified recently after Davido claimed Chioma’s wedding ring was worth “two or three Rolls-Royce cars,” stirring reactions across social media.
As fans and celebrities gear up for what’s expected to be a star-studded celebration, the spotlight remains firmly on #Chivido2025.
