I Would Have Regretted Marrying at 25 — Chude Jideonwo

Nigerian media personality Chude Jideonwo has revealed that he would have regretted getting married at the age of 25, reflecting on his personal growth and readiness for marriage.

Speaking in a recent interview with BBC News Pidgin, the 41-year-old said he is still not ready to settle down, adding that if he ever decides to marry, it will be done privately.

Jideonwo disclosed that he came close to marriage in his twenties on two different occasions, even going as far as planning pre-introduction ceremonies before eventually stepping back.

“I am not ready to get married and unfortunately for them, the day I will get married, nobody will know,” he said.

Reflecting on his younger years, he admitted that marrying at that stage would have been a mistake due to his journey of self-discovery.

“If I had gotten married at that time when I was 25, I would have regretted it because even as I was discovering myself”

The media entrepreneur noted that personal growth and emotional readiness are key factors in marriage, stressing that rushing into it could lead to long-term consequences.

His comments have since sparked conversations online, with many weighing in on the pressures of marriage and the importance of timing in personal decisions.
