CEPEJ Director Alongside Two State Governors Bag National Peace Awards


The Director and CEO of a foremost NGO in Nigeria, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, has received the Best National Peace NGO/Humanitarian Service of the Year Award.

The award presentation event which took place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the International Conference Centre, FCT Abuja, also had the State Governors of Delta, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and Borno, Prof. Babagana Zulum as awardees.

Whilst Governor Okowa bagged the national award as the best Governor for Peace and Conflict Resolution, his counterpart, Governor Zulum was honoured as All Round Best Governor in Nigeria.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Boss Mustapha who was the keynote speaker at the event, charged all Nigerians to support and promote peace across the nation to usher in the desired development.

The SGF asserted that peace is everyone’s responsibility, adding that the Buhari-led Administration was doing its bast to secure and protect the lives and property of all Nigerians.

The Convener of the award ceremony, Dr Suleiman Adejo of the Messengers of Peace, thanked the Federal Government for providing the enabling environment for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians in spite of the prevailing security challenges.
