Police Reveal Reason for Regina Daniels’ Brother’s Arrest
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has disclosed that Samuel Ojeogwu, brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, was arrested and charged in court for alleged criminal conspiracy, trespass, assault, intimidation, and theft.
FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed the development in a statement on Friday, noting that the arrest followed a petition filed on October 28, 2025, against Ojeogwu and three others.
According to Adeh, Ojeogwu ignored several police invitations before being arrested in Lagos and transferred to Abuja for investigation under a valid court warrant.
“Upon receipt of the petition, several invitations were extended to Mr. Samuel Ojeogwu for questioning, which were not honoured. He was eventually arrested in Lagos on the authority of a duly issued arrest warrant and conveyed to Abuja for further investigation,” Adeh stated.
She added that after the investigation, the suspect was arraigned before a competent court in Abuja on November 6, 2025, and remanded pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions.
Adeh emphasized that the Command remains committed to due process and the rule of law in handling the case.
“The FCT Police Command remains committed to professional policing, due process, and the rule of law,” she said.
The arrest of Ojeogwu comes amid growing attention to Regina Daniels’ recent emotional breakdown, in which she was seen crying in a viral video over her family’s struggles. The actress had pleaded for understanding while defending her mother and expressing concern for her brother.
