“I Give Up” – Regina Daniels Breaks Down in Tears, Speaks on Marriage Crisis
Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has left fans deeply worried after two emotional videos surfaced online, one showing her in tears, and another where she addressed the growing controversy surrounding her marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko.
In the first viral clip, the actress appeared visibly distressed while speaking about her personal and family struggles. Shortly after, she posted a cryptic message on social media that read simply: “I give up.” The post drew widespread reactions, with fans and fellow celebrities sending messages of encouragement and urging her to stay strong.
However, in a more recent video titled “I’ll fight for my children,” Regina Daniels broke her silence on her marriage crisis, vowing to protect her sons and defend her mother, Rita Daniels, amid rising public criticism.
“Hey guys, please stop insulting my mom, I beg you. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me. She’s my God on earth. For seven years, my mom held it down. You all insulted her, but she tried. She warned me. My brothers warned me. Everybody did,” she said tearfully.
The actress revealed that her family initially opposed her marriage to Senator Nwoko, but she went ahead because she was in love.
“Everyone said no. My mom warned me, my brothers were fighting, breaking bottles. I even went to the police station and said, ‘Arrest me! My family doesn’t want me to marry the love of my life,’” she recalled.
Addressing long-standing speculations that her mother pushed her into the marriage for financial gain, Regina Daniels refuted the claims, insisting that she had been financially independent even before marriage.
“You all should stop saying I got married out of greed. Excuse me, we were not broke! What amount of money can a man give to a mother who already has a child providing for the whole family? Through me, my mom trained all her children,” she explained.
Speaking passionately about her sons, Munir (born 2020) and Khalifa (born 2022), the actress vowed to raise them regardless of her marital situation.
“I’m going to fight for my children. I’ll take them, train them, and raise them with or without your support,” she declared.
Despite her emotional tone, Daniels maintained that she still respects her husband, emphasizing that her focus remains on her children and her peace of mind.
“I did fall in love, and I still care and respect him. That’s love care and respect. The only reason I’m not fighting you, Ned, is that I want Mona and Khalifa’s father’s name to remain strong,” she said.
In the caption of her post, the actress reaffirmed her independence and resilience, writing, “For the record, I don’t regret anything. Na only me carry my leg enter. This was a route I was meant to take not my final destination.”
