The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set for a decisive showdown against Gabon in the 2026 FIFA World Cup playoff, as both teams battle for a spot in the intercontinental stage of qualification.

Nigeria will look to build on their improved form and commanding 4–0 victory over Benin Republic in their final group-stage match. That performance sealed their playoff place, even after a shaky qualifying run that saw them win just three matches before that dominant win.
