NAF 931 Crash: NAF Releases Official List of 25 Victims
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is in mourning following a catastrophic air mishap involving its ATR 42 tactical aircraft, registration NAF 931, which resulted in the loss of all 25 lives on board.
The tragedy occurred during a routine transport flight en route from Benin City, Edo State, to Lagos. In an official statement issued by the Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, military authorities confirmed that search and rescue teams deployed to the crash site found no survivors.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, extending profound condolences to the families of the fallen officers, airmen, and civilian passengers. President Bola Tinubu has also ordered a full-scale investigation to determine the immediate and remote causes of the crash.
