DOPF 2026 Conference: Prof Dode Oghenedoro Set to Deliver Keynote Address

Professor Robert Oghenedoro Dode, a political scientist and scholar from Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, will deliver the keynote address at the 2026 Annual Conference and 6th Lecture Series of the Delta Online Publishers Forum (DOPF).

The flagship media event is set for Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at David’s Event Centre, GRA, Asaba, with Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, expected as Special Guest of Honour.

Speaking on “Democracy Under Pressure: Electoral Integrity, Security Challenges and Media Accountability in Nigeria,” Professor Dode will draw on over two decades of academic experience and public policy engagements, including roles at the National Universities Commission and the National Defence College, to evaluate Nigeria’s electoral processes, emerging security concerns, and media accountability.

The conference will gather government officials, lawmakers, academics, security chiefs, and civil society leaders to explore practical steps toward strengthening democratic governance in Nigeria.
