NAF Recruitment 2026: See Requirements, Application Dates

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced its 2026 recruitment exercise for qualified Nigerians seeking to join the service as Tradesmen/Women and Non-Tradesmen/Women.

The recruitment is under the Basic Military Training Course (BMTC) 47/2026, with online registration scheduled to begin on September 3 and close on October 14, 2026.

The NAF said the application is free of charge and advised interested candidates to carefully review the requirements before applying through its official recruitment portal.

Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth, medically, physically and psychologically fit, while male candidates must be at least 1.66 metres tall and female candidates 1.63 metres.

For Tradesmen/Women, applicants must be aged 18 to 27 years by March 1, 2027, while Non-Tradesmen/Women applicants must be aged 18 to 22 years by the same date.

Tradesmen/Women applicants with ND/NCE qualifications must have at least a lower credit and five relevant credits, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings. Applicants for trades requiring Trade Tests must also provide the relevant certificate, while drivers must have a valid driving licence.

Non-Tradesmen/Women applicants must have at least five credits, including Mathematics and English Language, in not more than two sittings, as well as Primary School Certificates and Secondary School Testimonials.

All applicants must have no previous criminal conviction.

The NAF said successful applicants will be invited for a Zonal General Aptitude Test, with the date to be announced on the recruitment portal. Only successful candidates will proceed to the selection interview.

The service warned applicants against paying anyone for recruitment, stressing that the exercise is FREE OF CHARGE.
