Mulade Picks NDC House Of Representatives Form, Promises Peace, Unity In Warri Federal Constituency
Renowned Niger Delta peace and development advocate, Comrade Mulade Sheriff, PhD, has officially picked the Expression of Interest Form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) to contest for the House of Representatives seat for Warri Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mulade, a well-known environmental rights activist from Delta State, expressed confidence in his chances at the polls scheduled for February 2027 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), describing his decision to join the race as a call to serve the people.
Speaking after obtaining the form, the activist thanked God and dedicated his ambition to humanity, while pledging to promote peace, unity and development across the constituency.
“I am very happy today for making this possible, and I dedicate the form to God Almighty and humanity,” he stated.
The Ibe-Sorimowei of the ancient oil-rich Gbaramatu Kingdom also expressed appreciation to the national leadership of the Nigeria Democratic Congress and former Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for giving him the platform to pursue his aspiration.
Mulade said he was prepared to offer inclusive representation to all ethnic nationalities within Warri Federal Constituency, including the Itsekiri, Ijaw and Urhobo people.
According to him, his aspiration is driven by a desire to strengthen peaceful coexistence and foster sustainable development in the area.
“I am the right man for the job at the moment. I represent peace, unity, development and inclusive people representation devoid of ethnic sentiment and segregation,” he declared.
He further promised to work closely with traditional rulers, political leaders and stakeholders across the constituency to ensure harmony and attract meaningful development to Warri and surrounding communities.
“I promise to work closely with revered traditional rulers, stakeholders and political leaders of the constituency to ensure sustainable peace that would attract the desired attention of development to the ancient Warri city and environs,” he said.
Mulade added that his leadership approach would focus on dialogue, advocacy and constructive engagement aimed at promoting progress and stability in the commercial hub of Delta State.
Political observers say his entrance into the race could reshape political conversations within Warri Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 elections, especially given his longstanding involvement in peace-building and environmental advocacy across the Niger Delta region.
