Nigerian actress Lilian Afegbai has reacted strongly after being overlooked at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, insisting she does not need validation from award nominations.

In a post shared via her official X handle, she wrote:
“I always choose to believe everything happens for a reason. I don’t need a nomination for validation. The truth is clear nobody trended like IDIA from TKAM last year. Her acting was 100 percent. You guys can eat your award”

Her comments have since sparked widespread reactions online, with fans debating her claims about the popularity of her role as Idia in TKAM.
