Delta Speaker, Guwor Eulogizes Asagba at 99


Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Emomotimi Guwor, has felicitated with the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien as he celebrates 99th birth anniversary.

Guwor in a statement, expressed gratitude to God for His love and kindness upon Obi Chike Edozien, who he described as a renowned personality gifted with intelligence, wisdom and longevity.

The Speaker noted with satisfaction the sterling qualities of the Asagba, stressing that his kingdom which incidentally is the seat of power in Delta State, has been very peaceful under his reign.

He commended the Asaba Monarch for his support to successive government of the state, including the Delta State Assembly.

While praying for more of God’s blessings upon the Royal Father, Guwor said he passionately expect such positive yielding support from the Asagba to Governor Sheriff Oborevrwori as he advanced the state to next level of development with his MORE agenda.

“It is of great joy to join millions of well wishers all over the globe to celebrate a distinguished personality, sound traditional ruler and an epitome of wisdom and humility, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien, Asagba of Asaba as he marks his 99 years on planet earth.

“Under his reign Asaba has witnessed great strides in terms of peace, unity of purpose and infrastructural development. This is as a result of his support to successive governments in the state. I congratulate him as he turns 99 years and wish him more years in sound health and prosperity”, Guwor stated.

The Speaker, also on behalf of his family and members of the State Assembly rejoiced with the people of Asaba over the 99 birth anniversary of their versatile and highly esteemed King, even as he enjoined them to remain at peace with one another, including visitors to the capital city.
