Deaconess Oborevwori Urges Delta Women to Mobilize Grassroot Support for Tinubu Administration

The First Lady of Delta State and Founder of the You Matter Charity Foundation, Her Excellency Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has called on women leaders and political stakeholders to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts to ensure the re-election and success of her husband, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

She made the charge during a courtesy visit by the Noble Ladies Organization, led by Wife of the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, on Wednesday, October 8.

In her remarks, Deaconess Oborevwori urged women to remain united and focused on the collective political goals of the state and the nation.

“We have a lot to do. We are here to work. We must deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she stated firmly.

“Reaching out to the grassroots is very important. When we deliver, we will be recognized at the federal level. Delta State is the finger of God, and with hard work, we will get it right.”

The First Lady emphasized teamwork, discipline, and loyalty to leadership as vital ingredients for achieving political success.

“Teamwork is the best. Let us be on the same page. Without women, there is no politics. Listen to your leaders,” she added, urging women to remain steadfast and united.

Earlier in her address, Ezinne Catherine Onyeme, leader of the Noble Ladies Organization, expressed appreciation to the First Lady for her exemplary leadership and humanitarian initiatives through the You Matter Charity Foundation.

She described Deaconess Oborevwori as “a compassionate mother and beacon of hope whose dedication to women’s empowerment, widows’ support, and youth development has transformed countless lives across Delta State.”

Onyeme reiterated the group’s support for the MORE Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the programs of the First Lady’s foundation, pledging continued collaboration for grassroots mobilization and women-led community development.

“We will stand with you spiritually through our prayers, physically through our presence, and financially by contributing our resources whenever and wherever we can,” she assured.

The group decorated the Wife of the Governor with the organization’s outfit and presented the sum of 2million Naira in support of the charitable works, through the You Matter Charity Foundation.
