Chukwueze, Arokodare Edge Closer to EPL Transfers

Two Nigerian internationals, Samuel Chukwueze and Tolu Arokodare, are on the verge of sealing moves to the English Premier League ahead of the 2025/26 summer transfer window deadline today.

In a report Punch, Arokodare arrived in England over the weekend to complete medicals ahead of his €27m move from Belgian side Genk to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Wolves have reached a deal in principle to sign the striker, who will become Vitor Pereira’s seventh summer signing and a key addition in the club’s hunt for goals.

Arokodare enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, finishing as joint-top scorer in the Belgian Jupiler League with 21 goals. Despite attracting interest from several clubs, he is now close to completing his switch to Molineux.

Meanwhile, Chukwueze is also nearing a move to Fulham from AC Milan. The Nigerian winger touched down in London on Sunday to finalize talks and undergo medicals. The deal is expected to be a season-long loan with an obligation to buy, depending on performance-related clauses.

The 26-year-old former Villarreal winger endured a difficult spell at San Siro, where he fell out of favor. Sources told ESPN that both clubs have reached a tentative agreement to ensure the deal is completed before the deadline.

Chukwueze, who joined AC Milan in 2023, has earned 46 caps for Nigeria. Should the deal go through, he will reunite with his compatriots Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, who are already part of Fulham’s squad.

If confirmed, both moves would boost Nigeria’s representation in the Premier League, giving fans much to look forward to this season.
