Burna Boy’s ‘No Sign of Weakness’ Enters Billboard 200, Breaks Nigerian Record
Afrobeats megastar Burna Boy has once again made history by becoming the first Nigerian artist to have five different projects chart on the Billboard 200.
His newly released eighth studio album, No Sign of Weakness, debuted at No. 200 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart after selling 8,800 units in the United States in its opening week. With this entry, Burna Boy extends his lead as the Nigerian artist with the most albums to appear on the prestigious US chart.
All of his most recent albums have made the Billboard 200, underscoring his growing influence and commercial success in the United States, where he continues to solidify his status as one of Africa’s most marketable music exports.
Adding to his U.S. milestones, Burna Boy recently earned his third RIAA Platinum plaque with his hit single On The Low, which joins YE and Last Last as his other Platinum-certified records. This brings his total RIAA certifications to seven, placing him among the most certified Nigerian artists in the U.S. music market.
Burna Boy’s international acclaim was further cemented with his Grammy win for Twice As Tall, which won Best Global Album and was praised for its powerful message and production.
His latest album, No Sign of Weakness, continues his global momentum. The project features an impressive lineup of international collaborators, including rock legend Mick Jagger, rap superstar Travis Scott, rising country artist Shaboozey, and acclaimed French musician Stromae.
To support the release, Burna Boy is set to embark on a North American tour, with performances scheduled across several major cities in the United States.
