BREAKING: New Pope Elected

White smoke rose from the chimney of the Sistine Chapel on Thursday, signaling that the College of Cardinals has successfully elected a new pope.
The historic decision came on the second day of voting by 133 cardinals gathered at the Vatican.
While the election marks the end of the conclave, the identity of the new pontiff will be revealed only when he steps out onto the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica to address the world’s 1.4 billion Catholics.
