BREAKING: Iran Accuses Israel of Strikes Despite Ceasefire
Iran on Tuesday accused Israel of violating the newly announced ceasefire by launching multiple strikes on its territory, hours after US President Donald Trump declared a truce between the two longtime adversaries.
According to Iranian state television, a spokesman for the country’s armed forces said, “The Zionist regime launched three waves of attacks on sites in Iranian territory until 9:00 am (0530 GMT) today,” without providing specific details about the targeted locations or damage.
The accusation comes in sharp contrast to Trump’s earlier assertion on his Truth Social platform that a phased ceasefire had taken effect. Under the arrangement, Iran was to halt all military activity first, followed by Israel 12 hours later.
The continued allegations of hostilities underscore the fragile nature of the truce, which has yet to be formally acknowledged by either Iran or Israel. Tensions remain high as world leaders monitor the situation, hoping to prevent a wider regional conflict.
