Wike Declares Support for Politicians Backing Tinubu

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has declared that he will support politicians and leaders who align themselves with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Wike made this known on Thursday during the flag-off of Lot 2 of the Water Supply Projects in Karu. The minister commended former FCT Senator, Philip Aduda, and the Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, for facilitating development in the territory.

According to him, governance is about supporting those who have access to government and can deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

“There is a road where you said is about 2km, is it not? Consider it done. You know, one thing about government and politics, support those who have capacity to bring something to the people. Support those that government will listen to,” Wike said.

He praised Maikalangu as “very good and hardworking,” noting his role in attracting several road projects, including Saburi Road, Kabusa-Takushere Road, and Deidei Road. He pledged his administration’s support for Maikalangu’s re-election bid, stressing:
“The chairman has access to us. Anything he tells us, we will do. I don’t know the party he belongs to. But I know that he supports Tinubu. Anybody who supports Tinubu, I will support him.”
