Full List: 75 Countries Hit by US Immigrant Visa Suspension
The U.S. Department of State has announced the suspension of immigrant visa processing for 75 countries, effective January 21, 2026, continuing indefinitely until a reassessment of visa screening procedures is completed.
This suspension applies only to immigrant visas (permanent residency) and does not affect visitor or tourist visas, though screening may be tightened.
