Nigeria Immigration Ends OIS Partnership for U.S. Visa Applications
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has terminated its partnership with Online Integrated Solution (OIS Services), the operator of Nigeria’s Visa Application and Submission Centres in the United States, directing all visa applicants to submit their applications directly at Nigerian diplomatic missions with immediate effect.
The directive was contained in a public notice signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, and dated July 9, 2026.
According to the notice, OIS Services has been “officially disengaged from the collection and submission of visa applications on behalf of the Nigerian Mission” in the United States. The Service did not disclose the reason for ending the arrangement.
Under the new directive, all applicants seeking Nigerian visas are required to submit their applications directly at any of the following locations until further notice:
- Embassy of Nigeria, Washington, D.C.
- Consulate of Nigeria, New York
- Consulate of Nigeria, Atlanta
The Nigeria Immigration Service assured applicants that the Embassy and Consulates have put adequate measures in place to ensure the seamless submission, processing and issuance of visas despite the transition.
The Service also advised applicants to monitor the official communication channels of both the Nigeria Immigration Service and the Nigerian Mission in the United States for updates on visa application procedures.
The development affects prospective travellers and Nigerians residing in the United States who require visas to enter Nigeria. Applicants who had already begun their visa application process through OIS Services are advised to contact the nearest Nigerian diplomatic mission for guidance on the next steps.
Reaffirming its commitment to efficient service delivery, the Nigeria Immigration Service thanked applicants for their understanding and cooperation during the transition.
