UNPAF Appoints Delta-born Nwaukor Special Envoy on Security, Defence

The United Nations Peace Ambassadors Foundation (UNPAF) has appointed Ambassador Jude Onochie Nwaukor as its Special Envoy Director for Security, Defence and Intelligence.

The appointment was announced in an official letter signed by the Chairman of UNPAF, Kingsley Chimdi Ossai, who described Nwaukor as a seasoned leader with deep commitment to peacebuilding and global stability.

According to the foundation, the appointment is in recognition of Nwaukor’s “exceptional leadership, unwavering commitment to peace building, and vast experience in matters relating to security, defence, and intelligence.”

The letter stated that his expertise and dedication to international peace and stability made him uniquely qualified for the strategic role.

As Special Envoy Director, Nwaukor is expected to provide leadership and advisory support on security, defence, and intelligence matters across UNPAF’s global initiatives.

He is also tasked with strengthening partnerships with governmental, intergovernmental, and security institutions around the world while promoting conflict prevention and intelligence-driven strategies aimed at enhancing global peace and cooperation.

UNPAF noted that the appointment takes immediate effect and expressed confidence that Nwaukor’s tenure would significantly strengthen the foundation’s global peace and diplomatic engagements.

The organisation further congratulated him on the appointment and expressed optimism that his service would contribute meaningfully to humanity and international collaboration.
