‘No Child Should Be Left Behind’ — Tobore Oborevwori Takes Free Healthcare to Ndokwa Federal Constituency

Wife of the Delta State Governor and Founder of You Matter Charity Foundation, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, has taken the Foundation’s free medical outreach to Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency, where she called for greater attention to the healthcare needs of children living with autism and other special needs.

Speaking during the outreach on Thursday, August 13, 2026, Deaconess Oborevwori said Ndokwa was the seventh Federal Constituency visited by the Foundation in the current phase of its medical intervention, following outreaches in Okpe/Sapele/Uvwie, Ethiope, Ughelli/Udu, Isoko and Ika Federal Constituencies.

She said the Foundation had so far reached more than 740 children, in addition to adults and elderly beneficiaries, with medical care and other forms of support. According to her, the figures represented real people and families whose lives had been touched through the intervention, stressing that every meaningful act of kindness could restore dignity and give hope to those in need.

Oborevwori said the You Matter Charity Foundation remained committed to ensuring that children living with autism and other special needs were not forgotten, neglected or left behind. She noted that the Foundation had encountered families struggling to access healthcare and children requiring greater attention and support during its outreaches across the state.

The First Lady said the medical team at the Ndokwa outreach was providing consultations, medical examinations, medications and other necessary healthcare services. She described the Foundation’s message as one of inclusion, acceptance and compassion, stressing that every child deserved the opportunity to grow, learn and live a healthy and fulfilling life regardless of their circumstances.

She expressed appreciation to the chairmen of the three local government areas in Ndokwa Federal Constituency and their wives for their cooperation and support, as well as the Delta State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Joseph Onojaeme, and the medical team for their commitment to the wellbeing of residents.

Earlier, the Chairman of Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Hon. Obi Nzete, welcomed Deaconess Oborevwori to Ndokwa and described the outreach as a special initiative that touched the heart of humanity.

Nzete said the programme demonstrated that every tribe, family and child deserved access to quality healthcare. He added that initiatives of such nature not only provided medical assistance but also renewed hope, urging leaders to create an environment where no child was neglected.

The Chairman commended the You Matter Charity Foundation for bringing the intervention to Ndokwa and expressed the local government’s readiness to collaborate with the state government and other partners to improve the welfare of residents.

Also speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, commended Deaconess Oborevwori for bringing healthcare and support to children with special needs in Ndokwa.

The Commissioner described the children as special and said the Foundation’s intervention would help them learn, grow and integrate better into society. He noted that the level of support being provided was comparable to global standards and reflected an uncommon demonstration of love.

The Delta State Commissioner for Finance, Chief Fidelis Okenmor Tilije, also commended Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori for her humanitarian efforts and support for vulnerable residents across the state.

Tilije pledged ₦20 million to the You Matter Charity Foundation in support of its humanitarian and healthcare interventions, expressing confidence in the Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable people. He said the people of Ukwani would continue to remember Deaconess Oborevwori in their prayers for her service and dedication to humanity.

A major highlight of the outreach was the presentation of 30 wheelchairs to persons living with mobility challenges, further expanding the Foundation’s support for vulnerable residents.
