Timi Dakolo Offers School Fees Aid to Parents Facing Financial Struggles

Nigerian singer Timi Dakolo has stepped in to support parents struggling to pay their children’s school fees as the 2025/2026 academic session begins.

In a post on his official X handle on Wednesday, Dakolo acknowledged the financial hardship many households face at the start of every term and promised to provide assistance.

“I know it’s school fee season, it’s not always easy, I know this first-hand. So, let me help lessen that burden a little bit,” he wrote.

The singer directed parents and guardians to submit their children’s school bills via Instagram to @TheOyindaOlu, assuring them that payments would be made directly to schools. Receipts of the payments will be sent back as confirmation.

Dakolo’s announcement has sparked widespread praise online, with fans commending the gesture at a time when education expenses  from tuition to textbooks and uniforms  have continued to rise sharply.

Many parents say the joy of sending their children back to school has been overshadowed by mounting costs, making Dakolo’s intervention a welcome relief.
