PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, has officially launched its Version 4.0 Update, delivering a thrilling mix of spooky content, major performance upgrades, and Africa-first in-game items.
According to a report by VANGUARD, the new update introduces immersive experiences, improved gameplay mechanics, and initiatives aimed at empowering young African creators and university students.
At the center of the update is the eerie Wraithmoor Mansion, where players will face ghostly companions, supernatural enemies, and even take to the skies with the Magic Broom. The World of Wonder (WOW) mode has also been expanded with advanced creator tools, visual programming, vehicles, and items. Classic Mode is enhanced with the introduction of the Mortar weapon, smoother weapon handling, and improved reloading mechanics.

Students can also join WOW Map and PDP design contests, giving them the opportunity to showcase their creativity and feature their work in-game.
The Super Smooth graphics option is another breakthrough, offering 50–60fps gameplay with up to 50% less lag, 15% reduced overheating, and optimized power consumption. Download speeds are also faster, improving by up to 200%, making gameplay smoother and more responsive.
