Delta Govt Announces DSC Roundabout Closure, Reveals Alternative Routes

The Delta State Government has informed the public that the DSC Roundabout will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from Monday, February 24 to Monday, March 31, 2026, to allow for ongoing construction and the completion of road connections beneath the flyover structure.

The closure is part of a wider infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving traffic flow in the Effurun area.

Authorities have clarified that during this period, only motorists traveling between Effurun and Ughelli will be permitted to use the existing flyover. Drivers heading towards Otokutu, Mofor, and surrounding communities are advised to use alternative routes, including Ugbomro Road, Uti Road, PTI Road, and other connecting roads as directed by traffic personnel.

The temporary closure is essential to finalize critical connections beneath the flyover, which will ultimately enhance long-term traffic management in the area. Commuters and commercial drivers are urged to plan their journeys ahead and cooperate with traffic officials overseeing the diversion.
