Crystal Palace Send €20m Offer to Angers for Sidiki Chérif Transfer

Crystal Palace have submitted their first official proposal to French Ligue 1 club Angers SCO for 19-year-old forward Sidiki Chérif, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano has reported.

The offer is worth approximately €20 million plus add-ons, and personal terms have already been agreed with the player, with further talks ongoing between the two clubs.

Chérif, a Franco-Guinean striker who has scored four goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season, has emerged as one of Europe’s exciting young forward talents. He has a professional contract with Angers until 2028 after coming through the club’s youth system and establishing himself in the first team.

According to sources, Palace are confident about concluding the deal, and negotiations with Angers are advancing following the proposal. The player himself is understood to be keen on a move to the Premier League, where he could provide attacking depth for Palace.

Earlier in the window, Paris FC submitted an offer in the region of €23 million including bonuses, but Angers reportedly rejected it as they seek a higher fee, keeping Palace firmly in contention.

Chérif’s transfer would mark a significant signing for Palace, who are targeting reinforcements during the January window amid injuries and squad needs. Interest from other European clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt and Paris FC, emerged earlier in the market, but the forward’s preference appears to lean toward a move to Crystal Palace.

If completed, the deal could become one of Angers’ most high-profile sales, reflecting the Premier League club’s intent to strengthen its attacking options for the rest of the season.
