BREAKING: Ben Murray-Bruce Defects to APC, Backs Tinubu

Former senator and media entrepreneur, Ben Murray-Bruce, has officially announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring his support for President Bola Tinubu’s reform-driven leadership.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Murray-Bruce said his decision was guided by conviction, noting that President Tinubu’s administration had demonstrated “courage, intellect, and results-driven governance.”

“I have known President Bola Ahmed Tinubu since 1998. I know his mind, his courage, and his conviction. He is not driven by applause but by results,” Murray-Bruce stated.

The former lawmaker praised Tinubu’s handling of the economy, security, and infrastructure, describing current economic reforms as “painful but necessary foundations for future prosperity.” He said the administration’s focus on deregulation, fiscal discipline, and security restructuring was beginning to yield positive results.

“For the first time in our nation’s history, we have a President who truly understands finance,” he said. “The numbers are beginning to speak, investments are returning, and the world is watching Nigeria rise again.”

Murray-Bruce, who represented Bayelsa East Senatorial District under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) between 2015 and 2019, said his move to the ruling party was motivated by “progress, not politics.”
