APC Reconciliation Committee Meets Iteveh Ekpokpobe, Commends Loyalty After Assembly Ambition Suspension
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Isoko South Local Government Area has moved to strengthen unity within the party following a reconciliation visit to Comrade Iteveh Ekpokpobe and his supporters in Oleh, after the suspension of his aspiration to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly seat representing Isoko South I Constituency.
The reconciliation delegation, constituted by the APC Isoko South Chapter, was led by the party’s Local Government Chairman, Hon. Victor Ekelega, alongside former Delta State House of Assembly members, Hon. Benjamin Efekodo and Hon. Lucky Okperi, as well as other prominent party leaders in the local government.
During the meeting held in Oleh, the party leaders reportedly appealed for continued unity, cooperation, and commitment among members ahead of future political activities and elections in the state.
The delegation also commended Comrade Iteveh for respecting the party’s decision regarding the suspension of his House of Assembly ambition, describing his action as a demonstration of loyalty, maturity, and commitment to party discipline.
Iteveh Ekpokpobe, a pan Niger Delta Development Activist and political advocate who had earlier declared interest and secured party forms to contest for the Isoko South I Constituency seat, had built considerable grassroots support across the constituency prior to the development.
Addressing the party leaders and supporters during the reconciliation meeting, he reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and pledged to continue supporting the party despite stepping aside from the race.
According to him, his commitment to the growth and success of the APC in Isoko South and Delta State remains unwavering.
“I remain fully committed to the party and will continue to support the APC in every material particular during the coming elections,” he assured.
He further emphasized the importance of unity and collective interest above personal ambition, noting that the progress of Isoko South and the strength of the party must remain the priority.
The reconciliation is part of ongoing efforts by the APC leadership to consolidate internal harmony and prevent divisions ahead of future electoral contests in Delta State.
Iteveh’s decision to remain within the party despite the suspension of his aspiration has also been described by supporters as a significant step toward strengthening cohesion within the APC structure in Isoko South.
