‘We’re Stepping Up’– Davido Plans New Home After White Wedding
Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has revealed that he and his wife, Chioma Rowland, will move into a bigger home after their white wedding in Miami, Florida, this weekend.
The “Unavailable” hitmaker made the announcement during an interview with American cable channel NoireTV-GlobalblackTV, where he discussed the upcoming ceremony, his ongoing “5IVE Alive” North American tour, and his post-wedding plans.
The Miami event will mark the couple’s third wedding celebration, following a court wedding and a traditional ceremony held on June 25, 2024.
“It’s bound to be amazing. We have a lot of friends flying in from Nigeria,” Davido said. “After the wedding and tour, I’m going to announce my African Stadium Tour. Then I’ll take a break, chill with the family we’re moving to a bigger crib. I’m stepping up, man.”
Davido is currently on his “5IVE Alive” tour, which began on July 11 in Los Angeles and will conclude on November 20 in Atlanta. The tour has included stops in San Francisco, Houston, Toronto, and New York, with every show sold out.
He described this tour as his most ambitious yet, crediting musical director Cobhams Asuquo for elevating the production. “Timeless was a learning experience, but this tour is crazy. We’ve taken it to another level production-wise,” he said.
In addition to touring, Davido revealed that he will release a documentary and serve as executive producer for an upcoming movie. He also hinted at a Europe tour following his African Stadium Tour.
