Vision Better Delta Movement Launches to Restore Leadership, Prosperity

By Pleasant Johnson

The Vision Better Delta Movement (VBDM) has been officially launched in Delta State, marking the start of a citizen-led initiative focused on good governance, job creation, and inclusive development across the state.

The movement, founded by Ken Pela, the 2023 Labour Party gubernatorial candidate and Lead Visionary, was born after months of grassroots consultations and a key consensus meeting held on June 11, 2025, in Abuja.

Positioning itself as a civic not political platform, the VBDM aims to build lasting institutions and restore dignity to public service in Delta State.

At the unveiling event on Thursday, July 31, 2025 in Asaba, renowned human rights advocate, Harrison Gwamnishu was announced as the Director and public face of the movement.

He leads a coordinating team that includes Evangelist Irene Ateevure, Alexander Eyamu, Genevieve Emeremgini, and Samson Believe.

The movement has voiced strong concern over rising insecurity in Delta State, pledging to speak out and take action to protect the lives and rights of all Deltans.

In a call to action directed at Deltans at home and abroad, the VBDM emphasized its civic mission: “not for power or position, but for purpose.”
