Usain Bolt Engaged to Kasi Bennett at 40th Birthday Bash
Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has proposed to his longtime partner, Kasi Bennett, turning his 40th birthday celebration into an unforgettable double celebration.
Bolt popped the question during his birthday festivities at One Belmont in Kingston, Jamaica, on August 21, with family and friends present. Photos from the occasion showed the eight-time Olympic gold medallist getting down on one knee as Bennett, dressed in a striking gold outfit, reacted with surprise and emotion.
The proposal reportedly featured a five-carat pear-shaped diamond engagement ring, which Bennett later showed off following the romantic moment.
The engagement marks a new chapter for the couple, who have been together since 2013. Their relationship became public around the 2016 Rio Olympics, and they have since welcomed three children, daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt and twin sons Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt.
Earlier on his birthday, Bennett shared a heartfelt tribute to Bolt, describing him as “my person,” “my love,” “my home” and “my forever.” She also praised him as an incredible father and expressed gratitude for the life they have built together.
The romantic proposal adds another milestone to Bolt’s remarkable life away from athletics. The Jamaican retired from competitive sprinting in 2017 after an illustrious career that included eight Olympic gold medals and world records in the 100m and 200m.
After more than a decade together and three children, Bolt and Bennett are now preparing to take their relationship to the next stage.
