Tiwa Savage Cuts Ties with Manager Mekka, Warns Public Against Future Dealings
Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has officially announced the end of her professional relationship with her former manager, Kemi “Mekka” Akunyili.
The singer made the announcement via her Instagram Stories, where she also introduced her new manager, Vanessa Amadi. She warned the public, promoters, and fans not to conduct any business with Mekka in her name.
Tiwa Savage emphasized that she will not be held responsible for any financial loss resulting from bookings or engagements made through Mekka.
“I do not work with Mekka anymore. Any bookings that go through him or any other unofficial channels will be void, and you will lose your money,” Tiwa stated.
She expressed frustration that, despite repeated warnings, some promoters continue to reach out to Mekka for bookings. She also revealed that a recent booking fee was mistakenly paid to his personal account, which prompted her to address the issue publicly.
“I hate coming on social media for this, but I can’t reach every promoter individually,” she added.
Tiwa also made it clear that she would reject any bookings that do not come through her new manager, Vanessa Amadi.
“Please for bookings contact [email protected]. Even if it eventually gets to me through him, I will refuse the booking,” she reiterated.
This update comes amid lingering tensions between Tiwa and her ex-husband, Tee Billz, who recently criticized Vanessa Amadi for allegedly overbooking Tiwa and affecting her time with their son, Jamal.
With this public statement, Tiwa Savage is making it clear that all future business transactions should be handled through her official management to avoid misunderstandings and financial losses.
