Takeme Charges Deltans to Remain Committed to Good Governance, Campaigns for PDP Candidates in Burutu


The Delta State Commissioner for Urban Renewal and Coordinator, 2019 PDP Campaigns in Burutu local government area, Chief Julius Takeme has enjoined Deltans to remain committed to good governance being provided by the PDP led administration.

Chief Takeme who made the call while addressing Indigenes of wards 11 in Ogulagha, ward 10 in Obotebe and ward 7 in Ayakoromo communities in continuation of PDP ward to ward, community to community campaign in the council area, said much more progress will be made in the state with PDP government.

Chief Julius Takeme, accompanied with the PDP candidates for the Delta South senatorial election, Senator James Manager, that of Burutu Federal Constituency, Hon Julius Pondi and the candidates for Burutu North and South Constituencies, Delta State House of Assembly contest, Chief Asupa Forteta and Mr. Pullah Ekpotuayerin, said the entire Burutu local government area is for PDP.

Highlighting the achievements of the Okowa’s led administration in the state, Chief Takeme stressed that what the area need is more development, not empty promises as being presently experienced at the federal level.

He said the PDP has done extremely well in the state noting that even those who for reasons best known to them were critical about the government now testify of the good works of the state government.

Chief Takeme while presenting the PDP candidates to the people of Burutu, urged them to vote massively for their victories at the polls, saying that a single vote was not expected to leave Burutu for any other political party.

He also reminded them of their collective resolve to support the second tenure bid of Dr Ifeanyi Okowa as governor of Delta State, stressing the need for all to cast their votes for PDP in all the elections including presidency.

Chief Takeme described Dr Okowa as a good and visionary leader, maintaining that Burutu local government area never had it so good as being presently experienced under his leadership as governor of Delta State.

The Chairman, Burutu Local Government Council and Secretary of the committee, Hon. Godknows Angele, commended the leaders, youths and women in the locality for their support for PDP, pointing out that the people never and can not stop supporting PDP.

He urged them to vote massively for Dr Okowa and all the candidates of the PDP in the forthcoming general elections.

The Chairman, PDP Campaign Committee, Burutu local government area, Chief BY Biakpara, reechoed the vote of confidence passed on governor Ifeanyi Okowa and his led administration in the state and charged the people to vote enmass for him and all PDP candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The four candidates including, Senator James Manager, Hon Julius Pondi, Chief Asupa Forteta and Mr. Pullah Ekpotuayerin, in their various remarks advocated for massive support of their people to achieve one hundred percent victory for the PDP in the council area and promised to attract more dividends of democracy to the communities.

The representatives of the various wards who spoke said their votes is for PDP and warned against any attempt to disrupt free and fair conduct of the elections in the council areas.

The high points of the visits were vote of confidence passed on Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the leadership of PDP in the state and candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
