The Political Adviser to the PDP National Chairman, Senator Ighoyota Amori has applauded the re-election of Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State describing it as God’s Victory.
Senator Amori in a congratulatory message expressed thanks to God for the success of the election saying, “To God, we give the glory, because so far, this is God’s victory”, adding “My thanks also goes to Mr President for conducting a free and fair election with infinitesimal disruption, which couldn’t affect the outcome of election results”.
“I also want to place it on record that this is the best election INEC has conducted in recent times, kudos to INEC”.
While congratulating the people of Edo state for their peaceful conduct during and after casting their votes, he said that this is real democracy in action.
He advised the re-elected governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki to embrace all those who contested against him in order to enhance democracy. “In any election, there must be a winner and a loser. I advise that he and the PDP should be magnanimous in victory.”
Senator Amori also commended the Peoples Democratic Party for the victory which he said was perfected by God and good team spirit of the party’s campaign committee led by Governors Nyesom Wike, Ifeanyi Okowa, Seyi Makinde and many others. “I say congratulations to our National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, members of the National Working Committee and indeed all PDP members in the world for this sweet Victory. To God, we give all the glory.”
