Salah Sets Record for Most Goals in EPL Openers
Mohamed Salah has made Premier League history by becoming the first player to score 10 goals on opening-day fixtures.
The Egyptian forward sealed Liverpool’s 4-2 win over Bournemouth at Anfield with a stoppage-time strike, surpassing Wayne Rooney, Frank Lampard, and Alan Shearer, who each had eight.
Since arriving at Liverpool in 2017, Salah has scored on the opening weekend of every season he has played, underlining his remarkable consistency.
His latest goal also pushed his Anfield tally to 105 Premier League goals, moving him closer to Thierry Henry’s 114 at Highbury and Sergio Agüero’s 106 at the Etihad Stadium.
At 33, Salah continues to break records and strengthen his case as one of the Premier League’s all-time greats.
