Osimhen Joins Galatasaray in Record €75m Deal

Galatasaray, the Turkish champions, has completed the permanent signing of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen from Napoli in a record-breaking €75 million deal.

The 26-year-old was instrumental in Galatasaray’s Super Lig title win last season, scoring 26 goals in 30 league matches during his loan spell.

Osimhen’s move was prompted by Napoli’s plans to rebuild under new manager Antonio Conte, which didn’t include the striker.

Galatasaray had been negotiating with Napoli for weeks, with the deal finally being sealed after agreements on the payment structure were reached.

The transfer fee is the highest paid by a Turkish club, making Osimhen Galatasaray’s most expensive signing in history. Napoli has since strengthened their squad with the addition of Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City.
