EPL: Marmoush Leaves Man City for Tottenham on Loan
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a deal to sign Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season-long loan, with the move including an obligation to buy for £60 million, according to Sky Sports and other reports.
The Egypt international is expected to undergo a medical before completing the move to north London, where he will become Tottenham’s latest attacking addition under manager Roberto De Zerbi.
Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 but struggled to secure regular playing time, often competing with Erling Haaland for a place in the attack.
His departure follows the completed transfer of fellow City forward Sávio to Tottenham. The Brazilian joined Spurs in a deal worth an initial £75 million, potentially rising to £85 million with add-ons.
For Tottenham, Marmoush’s arrival provides another attacking option as the club looks to rebuild following a difficult 2025/26 Premier League campaign.
The 27-year-old forward will now look to establish himself at Spurs and secure more regular first-team football after a difficult spell at the Etihad.
Note: Reports differ on the exact structure of the purchase clause, with Sky Sports reporting a £60 million obligation to buy, while some other outlets have reported a conditional £50 million figure. The £60 million figure is therefore used here based on the latest Sky Sports report.
