Court Adjourns Odumodublvck Assault Trial to October 13, 14 for Hearing

An FCT High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the trial of Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck in an alleged assault and battery case to October 13 and October 14, 2026, for hearing.

The civil suit was filed by Nigerian musician Levi Ogbogiri, popularly known as “Kraziecent,” who accused the rapper of violently assaulting him at a public event on December 16, 2024.

According to the claimant, the incident occurred while he was taking pictures and videos of himself, alleging that the rapper attacked him without provocation, causing emotional distress and damaging his iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The claimant is seeking court orders compelling the defendant to pay for medical expenses, replace the damaged phone, and compensate for emotional distress, public humiliation, and reputational damage.

He is also requesting a public apology across Odumodublvck’s social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and Instagram, as well as publication in at least two national newspapers, alongside a perpetual injunction restraining further harassment.

At the resumed hearing on Tuesday, claimant’s counsel, Uchenna Ojembe, announced appearance and informed the court that the matter was ready for hearing.

During an earlier sitting, defence counsel, Sheriff Bello, had requested an adjournment to enable adequate preparation of his defence. Justice J.O.E. Adeyemi-Ajayi subsequently granted the adjournment, rescheduling proceedings to allow both parties proper preparation for trial.

The case is expected to proceed fully when hearing begins on the newly fixed October dates.
