Mbappé Equals Ronaldo Nazário’s Career Goals Record

Real Madrid’s French superstar Kylian Mbappé matched the career goal total of Brazilian legend Ronaldo Nazário after scoring twice in his team’s 5-1 UEFA Champions League victory over AS Monaco.

Mbappé’s brace in the dominant win pushed his personal tally to 414 career goals in 548 matches, the same number that Ronaldo finished with in his storied playing career.

The Brazilian icon, widely known as “R9,” reached that total over 616 appearances for clubs including Barcelona, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, as well as the Brazil national team.

The 27-year-old forward opened the scoring early in the match and added a second to help secure Real Madrid’s commanding result at the Santiago Bernabéu. The win also strengthened Madrid’s position in the Champions League group stage.

Mbappé’s achievement has sparked widespread attention, with fans and pundits praising his rapid rise to the top of football’s all-time scoring charts despite his relatively young age. He has now firmly positioned himself among the sport’s most prolific scorers and continues chasing further historical milestones.

Real Madrid’s emphatic victory was also highlighted by a standout performance from Vinícius Júnior, who contributed a sublime goal and two assists.

Mbappé still has many years ahead of him, and his continued scoring form suggests he could soon challenge even higher benchmarks set by the game’s greatest goalscorers.
