Jose Mourinho Fired by Fenerbahce After One Season
Fenerbahce have sacked Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho after just one season in charge, bringing an abrupt end to his spell with the Turkish football giants.
According to a report by Punch, the club made the announcement on Friday through a statement released on its official X account, confirming their decision to part ways with the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss, who took over at the start of the 2024/2025 season.
“We have parted ways with Jose Mourinho, who has been the manager of our Professional Football A Team since the 2024-2025 season. We thank him for his efforts for our team and wish him success in his future career,” the statement read.
Mourinho, 62, joined Fenerbahce in June 2024. However, his time at the club ended prematurely after a mixed run of results in both domestic and European competitions.
