James Ibori Thanks God for His faithfulness and Protection


Chief James Onanefe Ibori, the second Executive Governor of Delta State has expressed his depth of gratitude to the Almighty God for His love and faithfulness over the past years.

In a special thanksgiving service in his hometown of Oghara to mark his safe return to Nigeria, the Apostle of Resource Control who recalled how that God delivered him from the schemes and devices of vested interests stated that he bore no grudges with anyone.

He stated that the intention of his detractors was to put him away permanently, but the Lord was with him and that one with God is majority.

According to him, giving of thanks is a show of gratitude to God and in line with the admonition of scripture that in all things, we should give thanks to God.

In his sermon, the Minister amongst other things stated that the life of Chief Ibori should be a lesson to everyone on the need to give thanks to God at all times and for all things. He encouraged James Ibori not to be deterred in his contribution to the growth and development of Delta state and the Niger Delta region. He also charged Chief Ibori to always remain joyful as according to him, the joy of the Lord is strength

High point of the thanksgiving service was a prayer session for the Ibori Family, Delta state and Nigeria.

The thanksgiving service drew dignitaries from beyond the Niger Delta and afforded friends and associates of Chief James Ibori the opportunity to rejoice with the man they fondly call the Odidigborigbo of Africa.

In a remark by one of the guests, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has passed through a challenging phase of life but has remain unruffled and strong which only shows that God has indeed been with him through his travails.
