FCT Police Probe Discovery of Lifeless Body Inside Car at National Assembly
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has commenced an investigation following the discovery of a lifeless male body inside a car at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja.
According to the spokesperson of the Command, SP Josephine Adeh, the incident occurred on Sunday, September 7, 2025, around 9:00 a.m., when a distress call was received about an unidentified man suspected to be a labourer.
Police officers attached to the National Assembly Division swiftly responded and found the deceased inside a red Peugeot 406 with registration number BWR-577 BF.
Adeh confirmed that the body, which was already in an advanced state of decomposition, was evacuated to the Asokoro General Hospital, where medical personnel pronounced the man dead.
The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, has directed a discreet investigation into the case, with a mandate to establish the identity of the deceased and uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic discovery.
