Djordje Petrovic Joins Bournemouth From Chelsea
Djordje Petrovic has joined Bournemouth from Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth £25 million ($33 million), with the goalkeeper agreeing to a seven-year contract that will keep him at the Vitality Stadium until June 2030.
The 25-year-old Serbia international made 31 appearances for Chelsea since joining from New England Revolution in 2023, including a loan stint at Strasbourg last season.
Petrovic expressed his excitement about the move, saying, “I’m really happy to be here. I came to Bournemouth because I want to grow and I want to play at the best level. Together with this club, with these facilities, I think we can achieve it. I want to help the team get the results, improve every day and be a better player.”
The signing comes after Bournemouth’s loan goalkeeper last season, Kepa Arrizabalaga, joined Arsenal permanently, and backup goalkeeper Mark Travers signed with Everton on Tuesday.
