Delta State Hospitals Management Board Opens Recruitment for House Officers, Interns

The Delta State Hospitals Management Board has announced vacancies for qualified medical and health professionals seeking internship and housemanship opportunities across the state.

In a public notice dated May 20, 2026, the Board invited suitably qualified candidates to apply for positions including House Officers, Intern Pharmacists, Intern Medical Laboratory Scientists, and Intern Nurses.

According to the announcement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Paul Okubor, applications are open to candidates with relevant professional qualifications and registration certificates from recognised regulatory bodies.

The available positions and requirements include:

• House Officers: MBBS or BDS degree from a recognised university with evidence of registration with MDCN.
• Intern Pharmacists: D. Pharm or B. Pharm degree with registration evidence from PCN.
• Intern Medical Laboratory Scientists: BMLS degree with registration evidence from MLSCN.
• Intern Nurses: BNSc degree with evidence of registration with NMCN.

Applicants were directed to complete their applications online through the Board’s official recruitment portal – www.deltahmb.org

The Board stated that only shortlisted candidates would be contacted, adding that details of examinations and oral interviews would be communicated via SMS.

It also warned applicants against paying money to anyone for recruitment, stressing that the application process is completely free.

The recruitment exercise is expected to close two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement.
