Delta State Examination Committees Commence Sales of Forms into State Schools of Nursing and Midwifery


The Delta State Nursing Common Entrance Examination Committee has commenced the sales of form for entrance examination into the Schools of Nursing in the State, for admission into a 3-year Basic Nursing Programme in October, 2019 for the award of Registered Nurse (R.N.) Certificate.

A statement signed by the director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor stated that the State schools of Nursing include; State School of Nursing, Warri; State School of Nursing, Agbor and Baptist School of Nursing, Eku and that the submission of form would close on Friday May 31, 2019.

The statement further stated that the entry qualification include, five credits at SSCE/WASC, NECO at one or two sittings which should include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

According to the statement, applicants are to pay a non–refundable entrance examination fee of N10, 000, Payable into the Ministry of Health Department of Nursing and Midwifery, Zenith Bank PLC, with account number 1015649624.

The statement stressed that upon collection of the application form, candidates are to submit the form with enclosed receipt of payment and two passport photographs, coloured with white background and routed through the principal of the school of applicant’s choice.

Candidates are to note that the entrance examination will take place on Saturday June 1, 2019, State School, Asagba Primary School, off Ezenei Road, Asaba, at 10.00am.

In the same vein, the Delta State Midwifery Common Entrance Examination Committee has commenced the sales of form for entrance examination into the State Schools of Midwifery for admission into 18 calendar months Post Basic Midwifery Programme for the award of Registered Midwife (R.M.) Certificate.

A statement signed by the Director of Information, Mr Paul Osahor indicated that the schools included State School of Midwifery, Asaba and State School of Midwifery, Sapele.

The statement further stated that candidate interested in the programme must be Registered Nurses (R.N.) and possess five credits at SSCE/WASC O/L NECO at one or two sittings which must include English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

It further stressed that interested applicants were to pay a non–refundable entrance examination fee of N10, 000, payable into the Ministry of Health Department of Nursing and Midwifery with Zenith Bank PLC and account number 1015649624.

According to the statement, candidates are to submit application form with enclosed receipt of payment and two passport photographs, coloured with white background, routed through the principal of the school of applicant’s choice.

The entrance examination, the statement further revealed, would take place on Wednesday August 7, 2019 at the State School of Midwifery, Asaba at 10.00am.

The statement enjoined candidates to bring along with them on the day of the examination, writing materials, notification of registration (R.N.) and current professional license.
