Delta Police Arrest Suspect With Gun Hidden Inside Loaf of Bread

The Delta State Police Command has arrested a suspect found with a firearm concealed inside a loaf of bread.

The Command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Monday.

Edafe said the suspect was apprehended after officers on routine patrol noticed suspicious behaviour and decided to conduct a search.

According to him, the officers’ sharp instincts led to the shocking discovery of a gun carefully hidden inside a loaf of bread.

“For every policeman, merely looking at you, if you have criminal tendencies, they will know. That’s exactly how the suspect was arrested with a loaf of bread. Guess what was discovered inside the bread?” Edafe wrote.

He confirmed that investigations are ongoing to determine the suspect’s identity, motive, and possible connections to other criminal activities in the area.

Edafe reiterated the Command’s commitment to proactive policing and maintaining safety across the state, warning that criminal elements would find no hiding place in Delta.
