Davido to Headline First-Ever London Festival at Crystal Palace Bowl
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido has announced plans for his first-ever curated festival in the United Kingdom, marking another major milestone in his global career.
The event, titled Davido & Friends, is scheduled to take place on August 14, 2026, at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl in South London.
Announcing the festival, the singer said, “For the first time ever, I present to you, Davido & Friends Festival. It’s going down at Crystal Palace Bowl on August 14th.”
In a video message to fans, he added, “We’ll be taking over the Crystal Palace Bowl on the 14th of August, so make sure you get your friends down, as I’ll be doing the same.”
Davido is expected to headline the event while also curating its lineup, which will feature a selection of guest artists described as “friends,” although the full list is yet to be unveiled.
The festival is part of the Palace Bowl Presents series, a summer programme aimed at reviving the historic venue, which has hosted global music icons for decades.
With a capacity of about 15,000, the venue provides a significant platform for Afrobeats on the global stage, as the genre continues to gain international recognition.
The announcement has already generated excitement among fans, with expectations high for a star-studded lineup and a landmark moment for African music in the UK.
