Liverpool has finally put an end to the speculation surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future at Anfield, with the Egyptian superstar inking a new two-year contract. This move cements Salah’s status as one of the most integral players in the team’s recent successes.
Since joining Liverpool from Roma in 2017, Salah has been nothing short of phenomenal, netting 243 goals in 394 appearances. This impressive tally makes him the club’s third-highest goalscorer of all time, a testament to his skill and dedication.
Salah’s contributions to Liverpool’s success are undeniable. He has been instrumental in the team’s victories, including the Champions League and Premier League titles. Currently, Liverpool is on the verge of securing a record-equalling 20th English top-flight title, with Salah playing a pivotal role.
This season alone, Salah has scored 27 goals and provided 17 assists in the Premier League, significantly contributing to Liverpool’s 11-point lead with just seven games remaining.

Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies,” he said in a statement released by the club.
Reflecting on his time at Liverpool, Salah highlighted the enjoyment he’s derived from his years at Anfield. “It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.”
